Aaron Decker

Aaron Patrick Decker (he/him) is a jewelry artist based in Detroit. The recipient of Mercedes Benz Emerging Artist Award 2015 and the MARZEE Graduate prize 2015. He Received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in may 2015.

 

In 2012 Aaron was a recipient of The Windgate Fellowship, which allowed him to participate as an Artist-In-Residence in the Turnov International Jewelry Symposium, Turnov, Czech Republic, with the Association of Contemporary Portuguese Jewelers and with the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts. Additionally, Aaron Decker’s work has been shown in exhibitions in the USA, Netherlands, China, Germany and more.

Ariella Har-Even

Ariella Har-Even (she/her) is a jeweler and metalsmith currently living in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her BFA in from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2019. 

She is the recipient of a First Juror’s Award from the Enamel Guild North East, a One for the Future Award from NYC Jewelry Week, and was a 2019 Windgate Fellowship nominee. Ariella’s work has been exhibited at various locations including the Riffe Gallery (OH), Galleries on High (OH), and in Metalsmith magazine. She has presented her work on adornment as archetype to the C.G. Jung Institutes of Cleveland and Chicago.

Through the use and exploration of both traditional and nontraditional jewelry materials, Har-Even aims to use wearable art as a form of storytelling.

Betsy Lewis

Betsy Lewis (she/her) is a silversmith, educator, and independent curator. Her metalwork centers upon creating silver jewelry and objects that allude to grief and hope; pulling together objects that realize a new form of telling the truth through our bodies.

Contributing actively to the field, Lewis holds teaching positions at Brooklyn Metalworks, Rhode Island School of Design, and is an adjunct lecturer at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Finding ways outside smithing to contribute to the discipline, her curatorial projects seek to elevate and advocate for artists who challenge the boundaries of this chosen field. Promoting progress through the coordination and collaboration of exhibitions include Denizen at the Hotel Chelsea during the first annual New York City Jewelry Week, To Ask a Question: To Carry on Without an Answer at the Dorsky Gallery for Curatorial Programs in Long Island City, New York, and Please Read Instructions Before Using at the SUNY New Paltz Graduate Gallery.

Lewis received her Master in Fine Art from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2019.

Steven KP

Steven KP (he/they) is an artist, jeweler, and educator based in Providence, Rhode Island. Currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, KP received their MFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design and holds a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

KP’s studio practice is centered around investigations of empathy, material culture, and queer experience. Their writing has been featured in various publications including Current Obsession Magazine and Art Jewelry Forum. KP is a 2017 Windgate Fellow awarded by the Center for Craft, Ashville, NC USA and a winner of the 2020 Marzee Prize from Gallerie Marzee in Nijmegen, NL.

Jackie Andrews

Jackie Andrews (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist and jeweler, writer, editor, and emerging art history scholar based in rural Maryland. Jackie graduated with Departmental Honors from Towson University with a BFA in Sculpture and a minor in Art History in December 2020. Often using their studio practice as a method of creating dialogue with their art historical interests and queer identity, Jackie’s work has been exhibited in galleries across the United States; at New York City Jewelry Week 2019 and 2020; and at Munich Jewelry Week 2020 & 2021. They are represented by Stay Home Gallery.

Jackie was selected as a member of the 2021-22 One For The Future cohort through NYC Jewelry Week, and joined the NYC Jewelry Week team in August 2021 as the Editor of Future Heirloom, their digital publishing platform + blog. They were the co-founder of Power Clash Art, an experimental publishing platform in operation June 2020-2021. They have bylines in several publications, including Tesserae Press and other art and craft historical journals, and Metalsmith Magazine in 2021 and 2022. They currently work as a freelance writer, editor, and grant administrator.
